This programme was initiated in the year 2008 for children living in nearby slums to develop their reading habits. Around 35-40 children come every day to the centre between 4 p.m to 6 p.m. Children come to the centre to read books and few children take help to complete their home work. There are two staff and two volunteers who help the children with their home work.


Other activities for the children at the centre

  • Social work students from different colleges conducted various group activities, personality development classes, craft work, art etc.The children are also taught Karate for self defense and Western Dance.
  • All religious and national festivals are celebrated.
  • Get together programme for the children is held annually during which the children meet the donor. Various cultural competitions are organized and winners will be awarded.
